I took the wife and kids to look at the lights up town and now they're making and decorating Christmas cookies.

I'm tired. I have to wait until the kids are asleep and my wife leaves for work in the morning before I can wrap presents without nosey snooping. I got many done but still more to do another time. I'm definitely not getting enough sleep before work.

My brother is Wiccan but he still plays along with it. He just doesn't call it Christmas. He has a Yule tree and gives Yule presents. Most of the people celebrating it aren't really celebrating Jesus as much as a commercial holiday of decorations and gifts. My Christian friends don't like to talk about or acknowledge that Christmas and Easter were pagan celebrations lazily repurposed as Christian holidays. A bunny, wicker baskets, grass and flowers, and eggs make no sense in relation to Jesus because they originally had nothing to do with Jesus. |

Christmas has Christ right in the name. To be honest, Christmas is just a name slapped on it. That don't change where it came from. It could become SpongeBob Day and SpongeBob is right there in the name but that wouldn't change that it wasn't originally about SpongeBob. |

Yeah, they're named after Greek/Roman deities. Specifically, they carry the Roman names, though their gods and mythology are the same as the Greeks. Jupiter is Zeus, Neptune is Poseidon, Mars is Ares, Venus is Aphrodite, et cetera. |
