The Sprint race at Circuit of the Americas was earlier today and was fairly interesting. Unsurprisingly, Max Verstappen won. Lewis Hamilton started third and soon took second where he hung close to Verstappen for a while but nobody has a chance against Red Bull lately so it didn't last. The actual Grand Prix is Sunday. Verstappen will be starting behind Hamilton but there's no real chance of him staying there or not winning.
I wish Circuit of the Americas was in the new Forza Motorsport. It was in there last-gen but so far it's absent this generation. I know they're soon giving us Yas Marina, but I'd prefer literally anything over Yas Marina.
Here's a lap of CotA onboard. It happens to do a side-by-side of an F1 lap and IndyCar lap.

So in that vid we see how F1 compares to Indy. What about Nascar? I think Nascar has a race their right?

I couldn't find a comparison clip. I can dig up some lap time figures, and NASCAR does run at CotA.
I ran into a problem. IndyCar only briefly ran there. I was digging up pole lap times from 2023 but IndyCar has none. I had to go back to 2019 for the last time they ran there, and then I can't find a pole lap.
NASCAR 2023 CotA pole time was 2:10.760. The 2023 F1 pole time was 1:34.723.

So F1 and Indycar aren't the same thing? They're both open-wheel but they're dramatically different, not just cosmetically but in basically every way. It's a lot to explain in detail, though.

Are they easier to drive than Nascar? Nascar is heavy and has no wings. No. They perform at a higher level so they're driven at a higher level. If you drive them at the same pace as a NASCAR Cup car, then yes they would be easier, but if you drive them at that pace you're just out cruising. No matter what sort of car race drivers race, they are pushed to the limits of what the car can do. If you're driving at the limit, it's difficult no matter where that limit is. The characteristics of F1 cars simply moves where that limit is. Also, NASCAR fans don't give the cars enough credit. Yes, they're bulkier with far less downforce than other race cars, but they're still purpose-build race cars that perform far better than most people seem to imagine. This is a common misconception with people that have no racing experience. F1 cars are far more difficult than people imagine. If you're racing them at the limit, they can go off just the same as any other car, and they are easy to spin out due to their very high power to weight ratio. They also aren't allowed to have driver aids like traction control or ABS. As for speed, there is much more to car performance than top speed. On a big oval, as long as you're just hanging out at 200 MPH, yes a NASCAR Cup can should be able to more or less keep up with F1, although F1 cars can go with a lower downforce configuration and do maybe 220. It's not all about top-end speed, though. F1 cars can corner around a road corse at dramatically higher speeds, which also means they can brake later because they don't need to slow down as much, and they can slow down dramatically faster. They can also accelerate out of those corners significantly faster, in addition to coming out of those corners accelerating from a much higher exit speed since they were able to corner dozens of miles per hour faster. I have to leave for work but perhaps I will come back and throw a video or two on here.

This is Richard Hammond from Top Gear struggling to drive an F1 car Did he ever try Nascar? Yes, but my memory of it is a bit more fuzzy. He had a very different experience with it than with the Formula One car. With the F1 car it was difficult driving it, to get it around the track as quickly as it is capable of doing it. You basically need to push beyond your human abilities to catch up with the car's capabilities. His NASCAR experience was, as I recall, not so much difficulty getting it around the track as much as doing it in close proximity to other cars and not hitting them. I'll see if I cam find a clip, partially for you but also for me.
