What does people think of the Corvette C8? Its been out for a few years now.  I didn't like it at first and I don't think its grown on me. It don't look like a Corvette. It don't even look American. It looks Italian. It isn't front engine real wheel drive either. Its mid engine like a European sports car. |

Honestly, I hate the look of Chevies. I haven't cared for any since like maybe the late 60s or early 70s, except for the Corvette C3 which made it through the 70s. I hate the modern Camaro. I haven't liked any Corvette since the aforementioned C3.
That is, until the C8. It's the first in decades to be visually appealing to me and the first to be interesting to me. Purists don't like the changes but I do. It made the old, dull, plastic door stop Corvettes into something actually interesting.

I've been accused of being a closet European, though.

i dont like it. it looks like it should be a ferari and the motor should be in the front where motors belong.

While we're at it, we should gripe that they should be wagons drawn by horses like the good old days, not these newfangled horseless carriages.

Call me a purist but I think a Corvette should be a Corvette and not a Ferrari. I wont lie. It looks cool. It just dont look like a Corvette.
