How do people feel about Dodge retiring the popular Charger and Challenger models? I think I read Dodge will replace the ICE Charger with electric. Ford was already replacing classic V8 engines with eco boost. What once was a V8 is now V6 eco boost. What once was V6 is now 4 cylinder eco boost. Now we witness the death of Charger and Challenger. Its a sad time for American muscle fans.

It's sad. I hate seeing them put out to pasture. At least I liked the Charger and Challenger. Why couldn't it be Chevy putting the Camaro down? I don't think I'm onboard the electric Charger idea, either, even though the name does sort of fit. I don't mind them wanting to make an electric car but just don't call it a Charger. That's like Ford making the next Mustang a minivan. I get why they're retiring the gas-guzzlers in a way, and again I don't mind them offering hybrid or electric alternatives, and don't mind people buying them if that's what they want, but I wish we weren't sort of being forced to not buy the old classic V8 muscle and/or pressured towards electric. Let that be fully our choice rather than us being given no choice.

They discontinued the Challenger and Charger? I didn't know that. I see them all the time. They seem really popular.

That's why it's odd to me. It's not like they retired unpopular models. People love the Charger and Challenger. They're bit sellers.
