My wife and kids are always getting locked out of accounts; email accounts, video game profiles, Xbox, or whatever. They always come to me to get it fixed. We're talking dozens of accounts for all sorts of things for three different people with different information. My fifty accounts across fifty different games, apps, websites, and whatnot is more than enough to keep track of but I'm expected to sort all theirs out, too. Some days back I spent forever trying to get my daughter back into Roblox.
I don’t want my information written anywhere, but I told them they're going to need to start documenting this stuff because I can't keep track of it all or fix it all the time. It's not just passwords, though. With my daughter's Roblox account, she wasn't sure which email address or phone number was tied to it, so we weren't even sure which to use to try resetting her password. Then she wasn't sure if she could even get into her email accounts to even check.
If people have kids with accounts, maybe just have them write all this down and hide it somewhere - what it's for, the login name, the password, and what email addresses or phone numbers are connected to them.

This is good advice. I imagine that would grow maddening after a while.
