Whats the worst car you ever owned? Every thing I ever owned had problems but I had a old Escort GL wagon that blew a head gasket after a year or so. It blew the head again later.

I'm not a mechanic so I don't understand all the technical stuff about it but I had an issue with a Ranger. It was typically good but had some kind of timing issue that I hear was common and an extra pain to fix. Something about it makes it so the whole engine has to come out to fix that timing issue. That's more than a bit inconvenient.

My Ranger was pretty good to me. I haven't had much trouble with my Altima. (Knock on wood.) For me, the worst is a three-way toss-up between a Plymouth Voyager, Chevy Cavalier, and Dodge Neon.
The Voyager had awful transmission leaks. I had to put two quarts of transmission fluid into it every day and it still sometimes didn't make it home. Eventually it was fixed, after like six times working on it, but then we sold it. Later we missed it.
I went from the van to the Cavalier expecting better performance since it was much smaller. I was wrong. I looked up at other cars but it still had no power. The van did 110 MPH on the highway but the Cavalier could maybe hope for 70... on a downhill stretch. Up hill? Forget about it. Then the heater went out.
The Neon had overheating issues. It was worked on by several mechanics. Eventually, after replacing everything, someone noticed the radiator was caved in. Then we learned the subframe was rusted out. The engine died if you stop too suddenly.
Maybe the Neon. Randomly shutting off probably wins. Or loses, depending on how you look at it.
