I'm not liking this. - I'm not in a hurry to dump the current consoles for new ones.
- I'm not liking it being weaker than PlayStation 6. I don't want an inferiorversion of games but even worse would be missing out on games altogether because the hardware isn't up to par.

They must be thinking a head start and lower price would help sell more consoles faster but that never worked for them before.

Dont really effect me cause I like Playstation better and would wait on 6. But I dont think it would help Xbox win over Playstation. Playstation is just to popular and probably always will be. All this would do is insure 6 is better then the new Xbox.

All this would do is insure 6 is better then the new Xbox. That's what troubles me. I don't want Microsoft shooting themselves in the foot hoping for an advantage they don't even benefit from. We end up with an inferior platform playing watered-down versions of games and possibly missing out on games altogether so PlayStation can still outsell it five to one. |

You make good points that cast doubt on the decisions made by Microsoft. Of course we don't know if these rumors will pan out.

I'd suggest talking sense into them but it's probably too late. They're probably too far into plans for the new hardware to dramatically change it now.
