Personally, I support their right to background checks. One of those articles talks about finding housing being a critical part of rehabilitation, and I'm all for second chances at becoming an honest citizen, but I don't think it's fair to make honest citizens have to take the gamble on convicts. I still want them to get their fair second chance, but maybe the government should have a program of offering housing to rehabilitated criminals. At this point people probably read "tax dollars" and red flags go up, but I mean for them to pay rent just the same as if it was any other rented property. Seems like a win-win.

You make a good case. Im not willing to throw tax bucks at criminals but if they still have to pay then I dont see the harm in your suggested plan.

I can't stand behind the convicts. People have a right to know if you are a convict. I see the irony in me saying that when my avatar choice is from a hacker.

Are there people that seriously don't think landlords should be able to run background checks on tenants?

Are there people that seriously don't think landlords should be able to run background checks on tenants? It looks that way.
