There's a lot to quote but basically it sounds like he was ridiculously, cartoonishly irate because they were seated next to a gay couple and he wouldn't shut up about it despite his girlfriend's efforts to convince him to drop it and move on, so he starts beating her so badly that she thought she might die. If you read about it, it's horrific what all he did. Beyond the vile, gratuitous violence that should never have happened, none of it makes any sense. Being so upset over another couple is absurd, then just going on and on over it even after leaving, and then physically assaulting her over it defies logic. He's a real pile of garbage but because he has money he'll get away with it.
