I'm really, really not sold on the notion of us living in a simulation. I mean, I'm not even remotely in the ballpark of marginally considering it.

Do scientists seriously believe we're living in the Matrix? No. Lots of people have thought about the possibility, both scientists and laymen, but scientists do not actually believe this and are not seriously considering it. It's just technically a possibility, and this guy thinks he may have found something that may support the possibility. That's a far cry from going so far as actually believing it. It's just an intriguing possibility. lol and people act like religion is stupid. they think we live in a video game. They don't think this. Also, as I've addressed before, there isn't a war between science and religion. It's just in the current misinformation age of propaganda and lies spread on social media that some demographics are increasingly under the impression that everything is science versus religion, and even that politics is science versus religion. Scientists don't believe we live in a simulation, and science is the opposite of stupid, as it's based on quantifiable evidence rather than pulling beliefs from their rectums.

they dont know as much as they think they do. They don't claim to know as much as people that are anti-science seem to think they do. They tell us what information they have available so far and what it seems to suggest. They don't normally say these things are concrete knowledge. Science isn't saying they know everything but rather science is the quest for knowledge. They're more than happy to toss out theories that don't hold up or update theories based on new evidence. Only religion goes around claiming to have all the answers and refuses to budge on anything.
